I bet some of you often ask yourself this. Especially you people who ace every exam and can get in whatever you want. After high school.. or college... choosing a path to your career is like seeing a glance of your future through a window.
Now, choosing a career is probably one of the most important decision you have to make in your life because you going to live it, doing it, facing it til your old days. If you choose something that you dislike, you probably going to be torture for the rest of our life.
Factors to be consider: 1. Your strong and weaknesses. Like I said previously you have to know what you're good at and what you're not cause it be easier doing something you good at obviously. And sequence to that is how hard are you willing to study, if you are kind of people who are chilling and will not study hard, you are more to brainstorming and thinking then a career of biology doesn't suit you, you are more to physics engineering and stuffs, or if you are maths person you cant really do sciences, or if you are just so linguistics that you can get other languages quick. Understand right? 2nd, your interest. For those who don't know what should i do with my life, think of your interest, what you like to do, what will you enjoy doing.
3rd, opportunity and competitions. These two are something that will contradict your interest and talent when choosing. You see parents will ask their children to be a doctor because doctor is always needed, population grow every time so has to be doctors. And businessman economics individuals are getting too much that you the competition is big. And musicians, there are just so much talented people nowadays..bla bla bla and so are many others... when thinking of these factors, you should not think of taking easy road. Seriously. Because you can end up doing something you don't like and regret it for the rest of your life. Think deep.
4th and the most important thing is, most high school graduates wont even understand most of the careers like what is a pharmacist real job or what a dentist can specialised in. They only think they know from what they see and assume. There are people who thinks accountants are running businesses. So, huge advice, look up, study, and do some research about all the careers that you are interested in and if you got time things that you don't like also. This is vital as you might find what you want to be is not ideal anymore and some things might interest you more. Go to career course of something a while.
So that's that, I hope its enough. Think thoroughly when making a decision because you wont get younger any day. Balance all the factors... open your eyes... and choose wisely.
