Ok I'm done talking about future careers and all that matters.. so lets talk about something that does not really matters. Who you are outside of your job? Identity means what people see you as, what you trying to show people who you are.
Observing people is one of thing that I like to do so that I know lots of kinds of people. When you walked in a mall or clubs as such you must have notice different kind of groupies, dressings... and you yourself have a your own taste. Let me tell you about few identities i perceived and analysed:-
1. Simpleton. To be simple guy/lady-you wear simple. Plain clothes, casual jeans, sometimes even slippers to mall. You like to make everything as easy as it is, no burden- no concern of details. You wont try for something that requires to much effort though the return is huge. You want to live and enjoy every moment..Live life free and easy
2. Metro. Everyone knows metro sexual people are those who try everything to make them look pretty. Hair re bonding, facial therapies, massages, beauty products, manicure and pedicure.. (and I'm actually talking about guys who done it). They are people who have their confidence from their appearance and once they lost it, take it as accident or pimples or something, they will definitely lose their confidence and will scare to go out and meet people.
3. Goths. Goths in my definition are people who are obsessed with deaths. They dressed black as in funerals. Really black.. eyeliners.. straight black hair covering eyes. Obvious ones like My Chemical Romance or Lana Del Rey where you can see most of their songs are about deaths. i don't really understand Gothics people, from my perspective they are just people who either likes black and white and the dress, or outcast people who try to fit in a group, or people who are sincerely obsessed with deaths.
4. Hipsters. Odd. Unique. Different. These are words to describe hipsters, they wear colour blocks, green blue red orange purple.. Want to appear antithetic, distinct or absolute contrary from normal people. Deep inside, hipsters are kind of people who don't care how people look at them, they want to look different and seek for others to accept them of who they are. They have high confidence in themselves and hope that others found the same in them.
5. Nerds. As we see in movies, TVs or anything nerds are associated with science, gaming, comics, superheroes, naturally smart with studies. And normally they don't really have good social skills, they like to be with themselves and talk to their kind. Spending free time in front of laptop alone...Dress up??.. they will dress neat, clean, as tidy as it can be.
6. Retro. I found this species really scarce. People who want to live the old age 70s 80s such, Listen to old songs, wear old school clothing, like to buy or collect antique things. Their motto is 'because classic is cool'. From what I see, usually retro people are arty, and they not really sports or social kind of person.They prefer underground than mainstream, going to gigs, wear old band's tshirts.
7. Classy. Instead of concerts and clubs, they adopt more private place or high class such as live band, orchestra, jazz or any other private and quiet place. They wear suits, very neat and tidy and looks wealthy. People will think that they are rich people when some of them are just average. Nevertheless, they are people who don't really like noise and public places. They appear as gentleman/lady.
8. Party people. Those who likes to dance, listening to trance songs.. go to party every night you can, like to get drunk or high, hit on boys and girls that you like. And having fun doing it. They are people who wants to live to the fullest and doesn't think about the future that much, present is what important to them.
And these identities I mean are outside from the intellectual zones of the people like work or school, These are something you can see outside of their zone if you get to know them. You may see a Gothic guy at night on the street and you be thinking 'some stupid people loitering', when actually that guy is a surgeon in the day.
As simple as that identities are something inside you, what you want to be when you are free, usually teenagers 15-21 they will change identities for some time because they still looking for what they want. Anyway I didn't really analysed enough of their personalities but I will keep on observing because that's what I do. May you find who you are when you are not working. Peace
