Last week I had this psychology 101 and now it makes more sense to me. Human nature.
Basically human psyche consists of 3 things which is called as the psychic triads. - 1. Id. 2. Ego 3. Superego. What is it actually?
Id is the feel of pleasure, more to like I'm doing everything for myself, I'm thinking for my own good, what I like and want to do.
Then ego is reality, thinking of surrounding is it worth doing, what will happen if i do this.
Superego actually means morality... should i do this.. is it nice to do.. guilty conscience. Thus make superego the opposite of Id.
Take an example, John wants to kick Andy ass because he thinks that Andy looks annoying. So his Id will tell him yeah kick him, he looks disgusting and you will get the satisfaction from it. And then the ego will do the calculation, can I kick him? he looks bigger than me, what if I'm the one who will get thrashed in the end, or what if he cries and his dad comes... And so even if John thinks he is able to Andy's butt, superego will hit him in, and thus says, is it really right to kick him, poor little boy he didn't do anything wrong.
One more to make it clear, college kid, lets named him Nash. Nash is so tired and he doesn't want to go to class one day, his Id will tell him I should bunk and continue my sleep, its so nice to sleep now, or maybe I can wake up late and watch movie today... Ego will go as what will I miss if I missed today's class, I think i can still wake up and go, or should I rest because my body is exhausted. Last the superego will say it is wrong to bunk class, your parent has paid for your college fees.. Got me?
You guys understand right? So at the end its about the balance of this triangle. But even if that so, everyone's triangle is different, they are not equilateral. Some might have bigger Id than Superego and some ego than Id. Therefore pertaining to my thoughts on human and what they live for. Its inside the human brain and you should know how to balance this three.
